2017 CJ's Barrel Chardonnay

CJ's Barrel" is named after CJ Kingston, our family patriarch and pioneer who came to Casablanca in the early 1900s looking for gold. An extremely limited special bottling, it is allocated exclusively to Old Corral club members. We’ve been working with Chardonnay for a while now at Kingston, and I like to think that we’ve been getting smarter every year handling this beautiful varietal. Working with nature - and not against it - has been a big part of this. Harvest came very early in 2017. The warm temperatures and lack of rain gave our Chardonnay a very distinct expression. Read more in Byron's tasting notes ››
