2019 La Cantera Pinot Noir
Our efforts to best understand each block of the Pinot Noir—as well as the robust experimentation in the cellar to achieve the most authentic expression of these blocks—have finally paid off.
La Cantera block of our vineyard has always been one of my favorites. The treatment of the vine, the location and the orientation of the block as well as the wine cellar management through the years has resulted in a truly amazing wine.
For all of the reasons named above, the 2019 harvest gave us a vintage so unique and different from past years that we took the initiative to bottle this small lot—of only 100 cases— independently.
This wine is probably the most personal of the wines I have made; each glass I drink transports me instantly to La Cantera.
