2020 Merlot

The Merlot varietal is planted in the lowest part of the vineyard where the soil is rich in clay. While varietals grown in clay-rich soil tend to have a creamier texture in the mouth, our Merlot goes through a partial whole cluster fermentation process that helps to balance out the heaviness of the clay, giving more structure and tension. The 2020 Merlot has an extremely fresh taste with essences of sour cherries, raspberries, and green strawberries.
