2022 Alazan Pinot Noir
Alazán always seems to best demonstrate the potential of Kingston wine in the Casablanca Valley. Thanks to a mixture of different aging material types (concrete eggs, foudres, and barrels) as well as different quarters of origin (combining wines from both deep and poor soils), the finished product has great identity and personality. It presents a complex range of aromas, like earthy notes and slight nuance of wood and barrel, all of which remain on the palate after drinking. The wine has a pleasant texture accompanied by a subtle bitterness that gives it greater length in the mouth. The 2022 Alazán Pinot would pair well with sautéed wild mushrooms or semi-cured egg yolk with truffles. Read more in the 2022 Alazán Pinot tasting notes ››
